Matt Levin

Creative Design Director

A seasoned creative leader with over 25 years of experience, Matt brings a deep background in branding, advertising, and design to Kudzu Brands. After working at boutique agencies in San Francisco, he relocated to Asheville, where he went on to lead creative teams at several regional agencies. As a founding partner and Art/Creative Director at Element Advertising, he spent 12 years building brands, developing everything from full-scale campaigns to signage systems and digital experiences. At Kudzu, he continues to shape thoughtful, strategic creative that helps clients stand out and grow.

Outside of his agency work, Matt is an accomplished fine artist, with paintings currently on view in three Asheville galleries. He is also the founder and host of the Montford Plein Air Painting Festival, bringing artists together to celebrate and capture the historic Montford neighborhood.

A: I’m a soccer goal keeper - so diving through the air, blocking shots

Q: What is your current hobby?

A: Oil painting

Q: What companies/brands do you think are doing a great job at marketing their product/service?

A: Sounds weird, but Durex has always created really smart and funny, visually conceptual ads.
